Iginiit ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang adhikain ng administrasyon hinggil sa patuloy na modernisasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Sa isinagawang Oath-taking Ceremony of the Newly Promoted Generals and Flag Officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Graduates of Foreign Pre-Commissioned Training Institutions (FPCTI) sa Palasyo nitong Huwebes, Disyembre 18, inisa-isa niya ang mga naging hakbang ng administrasyon tungo sa AFP modernization.
“As your President and your commander-in-chief, I reaffirm this administration’s commitment to the continued modernization of the Armed Forces,” panimula ni PBBM.
Saad pa niya, “In fact, we have taken steps to better support the women and men-in-uniform. We have approved the increase of the base pay of military and uniformed personnel (MUP). We also increased this year’s daily subsistence allowance of military and uniformed personnel to ₱350.”
“All these reflect our principle that honoring service means ensuring that those who serve are given the support and dignity that they rightfully deserve,” dagdag pa niya.
Hiling naman ng Pangulo ang pamumuno nang may integridad, kababaang-loob, at ang katapangang ipaglaban ang Republika nang may dangal.
“May you always wear the stars on your shoulders as a daily reminder of your duty to lead with integrity, to serve with humility, and if necessary, fight for the Republic with honor and with courage,” anang pangulo. “So together, let us continue to serve the Filipino people, protect our sovereignty, and help build a stronger, more secure Bagong Pilipinas.”
Kinilala rin niya ang naging papel ng pamilya ng bawat promoted generals at flag officers sa naabot ng mga ito.
“We recognize your patience, your sacrifices, and your support. Just as family lies at the heart of every single Filipino home, so too are you at the heart of our nation’s service,” saad ni PBBM.
Matatandaang inanunsyo kamakailan ni PBBM ang umento sa base pay ng MUPs sa bansa, na siyang ipinagpasalamat naman ng AFP at Philippine National Police (PNP).
“Bilang pagkilala sa inyong walang sawang paglilingkod, dedikasyon, at husay ating itataas ang base pay ng MUP,” saad ni PBBM sa isang video statement.

“The Armed Forces of the Philippines extends its utmost appreciation to our Commander-in-Chief, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., for prioritizing the welfare of our troops through the forthcoming increase in the base pay of military and uniformed personnel under Executive Order No. 107,” saad ng AFP.
“The Philippine National Police expresses its gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the trust he continues to extend to the men and women in uniform,” anang PNP.
