Sibak sa puwesto ang anim na opisyal ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) matapos masangkot sa umano’y pangungupit sa ₱141 milyon na nasamsam umano nila sa isang operasyon sa Bataan noong nakaraang taon. 

Ayon press briefing na isinagawa ni press briefing ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at Philippine National Police (PNP) sa Camp Crame noong Martes, Disyembre 2, sinabi ni Interior Sec. Jonvic Remulla na natukoy na ang mga opisyal ng CIDG na sangkot sa pagbubulsa ng ilang milyones. 

Kaugnay umano ito sa naging raid ng mga awtoridad sa Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) sa Bataan noong Oktubre 2024. 

“After careful investigation, the (CIDG) members involved in the cover-up and the crime and the pilferage of the evidence have been identified. The chain of custody has been studied and perfected and we have now determined who the real culprits are,” pagsisimula ni Remulla.

Dagdag pa niya, “Of the total ₱141 million seized by the operatives on the POGO raid. It was held in custody by several police officers and when the Court ruled that the search was illegal, the money [was] returned to the owners.” 

Pagkukuwento pa niya, aabot na lamang sa ₱128 milyon ang nakita nila sa mga kahon ng ebidensya sa naturang raid noon sa POGO na dapat ay ₱141 milyon. 

“Upon the opening of the evidence, out of PHP141 million, only PHP128 million was left. What was left on the other box was boodle money, fake money. So upon careful investigation we have identified the culprits,” paglilinaw ni Remulla. 

Kinilala ang mga nasabing opisyal na sina Executive M/Sgt. Erick Castro, Senior M/Sgt. Michael Camillo, at Pat. Jesus Fulgencio Jr., Kristian Nards Andaya, Kenji Francisco at Reymart Solas.

Sa parehong press briefing, ipinaliwanag din ni CIDG chief Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander Morico na naganap ang naturang raid nila kasama ang Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) noong Oktubre 29, 2024 sa bisa ng search warrant sa posibleng kaso ng human trafficking noon sa Bagac, Bataan. 

Ayon pa kay Morico, sina Police Lieutenant Colonel Joey Arandia at si Pat.Kristian Nards Andaya ang naging seizing officer sa nasabing operasyon noon. 

Pagpapatuloy pa ni Morice, nadiskubre nila noong Setyembre 2025 na wala umano sa evidence room ang mga perang nasakote noon ng awtoridad at iniuwi ito sa bahay ni Arandia. 

Naibalik umano ang siyam na kahon ng mga ebidensya sa headquarter ng CIDG noong Oktubre 21, 2025, ngunit hindi raw nila agad ito binuksan dahil selyado ito ng Korte. 

Nagkaroon ng kautusan mula Legal Counsel ng Court Bataan noong Nobyembre 19, 2025, at doon daw nila napag-alamang kulang ang kabuuang halaga ng naturang ebidensya. 

Dahil dito, nahaharap ngayon ang mga nasabing opisyal sa kasong paglabag sa Article 310 o Qualified Theft, Article 217 o  Malversation of Public Funds, Article 228 o Opening of Closed Documents, Article 171 o Falsification of Public Documents, at Article 168 na may kaugnayan sa Article 166 o Illegal Possession or Use of False Treasury Notes or Bank Notes.
