“I personally just spoke to former Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and he did not resign but was just told he ‘had to go’,” saad ni Davila sa kaniyang X post.
“During our call, Bersamin said ‘I am not the mastermind of anything.’ He adds, ‘I need to protect myself, my reputation,” dagdag pa niya.
“I did not resign. Earlier in the day last November 17, someone called me to tell I had to go as the ES. The call was not from Malacañang,” sagot ni Bersamin. “I informed the President by text that I had no problem exiting.”
“About 2pm, the PCO reportedly announced my resignation ‘out of delicadeza.’ Still, I did not submit any letter as of then. Last Tuesday, I went to OES to quickly bring out my personal items and papers, as well as to start a perfect transition with my successor,” aniya pa.
“Before I left for home, I signed my letter expressing my submission to the President’s prerogative with instructions to my staff to bring the letter to the Office of the Appointments Secretary. I left deciding that that would be the last time I would step into that office,” saad pa ni Bersamin.

“My reaction is utter disbelief. The basis of Sen. Lacson’s speech as to me was pure hearsay three times over,” aniya.
“I should not even dignify that with a denial because there is nothing to deny,” pagtatapos niya.

Matatandaang inanunsyo ng Palasyo kamakailan na “out of delicadeza” ang dahilan kung bakit bumaba sa puwesto si Bersamin at si dating Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Amenah Pangandaman.
