Natuklasan ni Senador JV Ejercito na gumagana umano ang Universal Health Care sa Pilipinas matapos niyang sumailalim sa cataract removal procedure.
Sa latest Facebook post ni Ejercito nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 3, sinabi niyang nakausap niya ang ilang nurse at resident doctor tungkol sa mga naging cataract patient ng mga ito.
“[W]hile being prepped for the procedure had a chat with the nurses and some resident docs who told me a lot of their cataract patients are now being covered by Philhealth because of Universal Healthcare Law,” lahad ni Ejercito.
Dagdag pa niya, “Even the lenses which is the expensive commodity is now covered. Its just needs a pre-approval to prevent occurence of cataract scam before.”

Ayon sa senador, umaabot umano sa 40% o mas mataas pa ang nako-cover ng PhilHealth depende sa kaso ng pasyente. May ilan umanong nakakakuha ng 80% coverage anang hospital staff.
“Great news indeed! I am able to see clearly now and also found out that indeed UHC is already working! We are getting there, slowly but surely!” pahabol pa ng senador.
Matatandaang si Ejercito ang kinikilalang author ng Universal Health Care Act sa Pilipinas.
