Nagpaabot ng pasasalamat ang Philippine Red Cross (PRC) matapos makatanggap ng donasyong aabot sa S$50,000, mula sa Singapore Red Cross, para sa mga apektadong residente sa naganap na lindol sa Cebu kamakailan.

Ibinahagi ng PRC sa kanilang Facebook post nitong Biyernes, Oktubre 3, ang pasasalamat ng kanilang chairman na si Richard J. Gordon hinggil sa nasabing donasyon.

“PRC Chairman Richard J. Gordon extends his deepest gratitude to the Singapore Red Cross for their generous contribution of S$50,000 in support of emergency relief operations for communities devastated by the Cebu earthquake,” anang PRC.

Inilahad din nila ang isang direktang pahayag mula kay RPC Chairman Gordon.

“In times of great loss, true friends shine the brightest. The support of the Singapore Red Cross not only brings much-needed relief but also hope and solidarity to our people in Cebu. Together, we can ease suffering, restore dignity, and help survivors rebuild their lives,” ani Gordon.

Kalakip ng nasabing post ng PRC ang isang post ng Singapore Red Cross, kung saan makikita kung anu-ano pa ang kanilang mga ibinahagi liban sa nabanggit na monetary donation.

Makikita sa naturang post na kasama sa mga ipinamahagi nila ang urgent medical needs, Water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), pati na rin mental at psychological support.

Mababasa rin dito ang pahayag ng Secretary General at CEO ng Singapore Red Cross na si Mr. Benjamin William hinggil sa ipinaabot nilang tulong.

“The situation in the Philippines is dire; thousands have lost their loved ones, homes, and livehoods and might soon be confronted with another disaster. Circumstances are fluid, with the needs evolving daily,” ani William.

“Our contribution is intended to provide immediate assistance, ensuring that essential needs are met swiftly and hope remains alive. We stand in solidarity with our sister national society and impacted communities in these challenging times,” dagdag pa nito.

Siniguro din ng Singapore Red Cross na patuloy silang magpapamahagi ng tulong kaugnay sa pagpasok ng Bagyong “Paolo” sa bansa.

Matatandaang naghatid mismo ang PRC ng psychological first aid para sa mga pasyenteng naapektuhan ng lindol sa Cebu noong Martes, Setyembre 30.
