Iginiit ni  Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson na may isa umanong tradisyong sinusunod sa pagpapadalo ng isang kongresista sa Senado.

Ayon Lacson, sa kaniyang pahayag nitong Miyerkules, Setyembre 24, 2025, iginiit niyang boluntaryo lang daw dapat o isang manipesto ang dapat na pagdalo ng kongresista sa pagdinig ng Senado.

“There's inter-parliamentary courtesy. He is still a congressman and there's a tradition that voluntarily, he can appear and testify or manifest. But to send an invitation or even a subpoena, it's not proper,” ani Lacson.

Dagdag pa niya, “Regardless, kasi 'yan ang tradition eh, dinatnan na namin 'yan dito.”

Matatandaang inuulan ng pambabatikos ang Senado dahil umano sa bigo nitong pagpapadalo kay Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Elizaldy Co sa nagpapatuloy na imbestigasyon hinggil sa maanomalyang flood control projects.

Isa si Co sa mga pangalan ng mga mambabatas na nilaglag ng mga Discaya na umano’y nanghihingi ng kickback sa halaga ng kontrata mula sa gobyerno.

Samantala, kamakailan lang nang i-revoke ni House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy ang travel clearance ni Co.

“This revocation is issued in the paramount interest of the public and due to the existence of pressing national matters requiring your physical presence,” anang House Speaker.

Kasalukuyang nasa Amerika si Co, para umano si isang extensive health consultation.

“I made an initial inquiry sa Office of the Secretary General. Sa pagkakaalam ko, he's currently out of the country,” ani House Spox Princess Abante. 

Saad pa niya, lumipad patungong Amerika si Co para umano sa kaukulang medical treatment.
