Inisa-isa ni Sen. Imee Marcos ang tila mga kuwestiyonable umanong bagay na nakakaapekto sa paghawak ni Officer in Charge (OIC) Ombudsman Dante Vargas hinggil sa kasong isinampa niya kina Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla at iba pang matataas na opisyal ng bansa.

Ayon sa dokumentong inihain ni Marcos sa Ombudsman noong Setyembre 12, 2025, inuna nitong iginiit ang beripikado raw na impormasyon hinggil sa pagiging magkaklase umano ng asawa ni Vargas at ni Remulla noon sa UP Law school.

"The Complainant has verified that the spouse of OIC Ombudsman Dante Vargas (OIC Vargas) is the UP Law school classmate of one of the respondents herein, namely, Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla,

Dagdag pa ng senadora, "The fact that OIC Vargas did not even disclose to the parties in this case such fact is already highly irregular and improper on his part."

Pinuna rin ng senadora, ang umano'y kautusan ni Vargas na agarang i-dismiss sa nasabing reklamo.

"To make matters worse, on 12 September 2025, under the command and control of OIC Vargas, the Panel of Investigators resolved to dismiss without prejudice the above-captioned case on the ground that the pending Supreme Court cases surrounding the arrest of former President Rodrigo R. Duterte raises prejudicial questions," saad ni Sen. Imee.

Tila mabilis din umanong inasahan ni Remulla ang magiging pag-dismiss ng Ombudsman sa kanilang kaso dahil nasa tanggapan na umano agad siya ng Ombudsman upang kumuha ng clearance.

Aniya, "What is more, on the day the decision was rendered, Secretary Jesus Remulla was already at the Office of the Ombudsman to claim his clearance."

Ayon pa sa senadora, malinaw daw na naging bias umano si Vargas at mga miyembro ng panel of investigators.

"These circumstances very evidently displays the bias of OIC Vargas and the panel of investigators."

Matatandaang kamakailan lang ng kumalat sa social media ang isa umanong kopya ng desisyon ng Ombudsman na nagbabasura sa kaso nina Remulla na isinampa ni Marcos. 

Batay sa nagkalat na kopya na mula umano sa Ombudsman mababasa ang listahan ng mga opisyal na sina Justice Secretary Boying Remulla, Interior and Local Government Sec. Jonvic Remulla, dating Police Chief Francisco Marbil, dating Police Chief Nicolas Torre, Special Envoy Transnational Crime Markus Lacanilao, Richard Fadullon, Prosecutor General at Justice Undersecretary Nicholas Felix Ty.

Saad pa ng senadora sa "Prayer" section ng nasabing dokumento, "WHEREFORE, premises considered, it is respectfully prayed that Officer-in-Charge Dante Vargas and the Panel of Investigators namely, Sandy D. Alcantara, Roseann Claudine M. Pasion, Corinne Joie M. Garillo-Arellano, Napoleon Regan D. Malimas, Leilani P. Tagulao-Marquez, and Nellie P. Boguen-Golez, BE INHIBITED from resolving the Motion for Reconsideration."

Bagama’t walang ibang nakalagay na desisyon sa nasabing kumakalat na papel sa social media nitong Biyernes, Setyembre 12, 2025, naglabas ng pahayag si Sen. Imee at iginiit na naghain na raw siya ng motion for reconsideration sa Ombudsman, bagama’t wala pang verified copy ng desisyon ng Ombudsman hinggil sa kaso nina Remulla. 

Matatandaang noong Mayo 2025 nang tuluyang magsampa ng reklamo sa Ombudsman si Sen. Imee laban sa limang top official government, kabilang si Justice Secretary Remulla na nagsumite rin ng aplikasyon sa pagka-Ombudsman.
