Pinabulaanan ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) na hindi totoo ang kumakalat sa social media na magsasara na umano ang mga OFW lounges sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Sa pahayag ng OWWA nitong Sabado, Setyembre 13, 2025, iginiir ng nasabing ahensya na hindi umano totoong wala ng pondo para masuportahan ang OFW lounges.
"Reports circulating online that OFW Lounges will be stopped due to lack of budget are false," anang OWWA.
Saad pa ng OWWA, humiling na rin daw sila ng additional budget sa Kamara upang mapalawig pa ang mga serbisyong maaaring maibigay ng OFW lounges.

"Our request for additional budget in Congress is precisely to continue upgrading and improving services, expanding facilities, adding new lounges, and sustaining the free food and other amenities that our OFWs deserve," anang ahensya.
Kaugnay nito, nakiusap din ang OWWA sa publiko na huwag na raw dagdagan ang mga balakid ng mga OFW sa pagpapakalat pa ng fake news.
"At this time when the world is difficult and our OFWs already carry many burdens, we hope that they will not be weighed down further by fake news. We ask the public to be responsible and trust only official announcement from OWWA and the Department of Migrant Workers," saad ng OWWA.
