Inaprubahan na sa Joint Committee ng Public Accounts, Public Works and Highways, at ng Good Government and Public Accountability na ginanap nitong Martes, Setyembre 2, ang mosyon ni Akbayan Partylist Representative Chel Diokno na pagbawalang makisawsaw ang mga aniya ay “Cong-tractors” sa imbestigasyon ng flood control projects.
Ibinahagi ni Rep. Diokno sa kaniyang Facebook post nitong Martes, Setyembre 2, na hindi na umano maaaring makialam sa imbestigasyon ang aniya’y mga “cong-tractors,” at oobligahin ang lahat ng miyembro ng Infra-Comm na ilantad ang anumang koneksyon ng mga ito sa flood control projects.
Aniya, ito raw ay isang hakbang upang maiwasan ang conflict of interest sa imbestigasyon.
Ito ay naisakatuparan matapos i-cite ni Diokno ang mga pahayag ni Sen. Ping Lacson ukol sa 67 na mga kongresistang may kinalaman umano sa peke at maanomalyang flood control projects.

“Given this revelation, Mr. Chair, by Senator Lacson, I believe we need to assure the public that this investigation will not be a whitewash, and that no members of the three committees conducting this investigation have a conflict of interest,” ani Rep. Diokno.
“I therefore move, Mr. Chair, that before we proceed any further this joint hearing, all the members of the committees of Public Accounts, Public Works and Highways, and Good Government and Public Accountability, make a full disclosure their financial business or pecuniary interest that may be directly or indirectly affected by any investigation into the government’s past or present flood control projects,” dagdag pa niya.
