Siniguro ni Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III na maiaayos niya raw ang Senado kung sakali mang mailuklok muli bilang Senate President.

Sa panayam ng media kay Sotto nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 4, 2025, iginiit niyang makakasiguro daw ang publiko na muling masusunod ang Konstitusyon sa sistema ng Senado.

“As seasoned legislators, we can make sure that rules and procedures in the Senate are strictly followed in line with the Constitution. We can also make sure that fiscal policy passing through the Senate will be clean and transparent for the benefit of the country and our people,” ani Sotto.

Matatandaang isa si Sotto at SP Chiz Escudero sa mga senador na matutunog ang pangalan sa pag-angkin ng liderato ng Senado.

Samantala, kamakailan lang nang inihayag ni Sen. Migz Zubiri na mayroon na raw 13 boto na nakalap ang paksyong susuporta kay Escudero sa pagka-Senate President.

“Many, of course, gossips are coming up stating that Senate President Escudero has 13 votes, 13 signatures. He may have the 13 signatures, but I'm hoping and praying that at the end of the day, we all decide to have a Senate president that will continue its independence as a last bastion of democracy,” saad ni Zubiri.
