Nagpadala ng liham ang Presidential Communications Office (PCO) sa pamunuan ng Net 25 upang hilingin na tanggalin at palitan ang Malacañang beat reporter na si Eden Santos.
Sa liham na may petsang Hunyo 27, 2025, lumabag daw sa coverage protocol si Santos nang lapitan umano nito si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. sa isang event sa Capas, Tarlac noong Hunyo 25.
"While the event was successful, we have to invite your attention regarding the breach of protocol committed by your reporter, Eden Santos, who is also a member of the Malacañang Press Crops. Santos, violated Media Advisory MA-25-109, in approaching the President directly, not once but twice, even if there was already an assigned place for reporters and cameramen in the venue. Strict courtesy and decorum dictate that when covering the President, a certain distance should be observed at all times," mababasa sa naturang liham ng PCO.
Ayon pa sa PCO, hindi umano ito ang unang pagkakataon na lumabag sa naturang protocol si Santos.

Kaugnay nito, hiniling ng PCO sa Net 25 na palitan si Santos.
"It is in this light that we respectfully request that a new reporter be assigned to cover the President and the other government agencies inside Malacañang," giit ng PCO.
"Other reporters who were seen and recorded breaching the protocol last Tuesday will be admonished," dagdag pa nila.
