Customer, dismayado sa sikat na coffee shop dahil mali-mali pangalan niya

Viral ang Facebook post ng isang customer na nadismaya sa isang sikat na coffee shop dahil mali raw ang inilagay na pangalan sa cup na inorder niyang drinks dito.

Kuwento ng nagngangalang "JP" sa kaniyang post noong Hunyo 2, isa siyang loyal customer ng isang sikat na coffee shop dahil ito ang kaniyang "go-to place" para mag-relax, magbasa, gawin ang ilang mga trabaho, at mag-enjoy sa inoorder niyang cup of coffee.

Tawag nga raw niya sa sarili, siya ay "almost loyal" customer sa nabanggit na coffee shop, dahil tinatangkilik din niya ang isa pang coffee shop na kakumpetensya nito.

"But today was the first time I left Starbucks disappointed," saad ng customer.

Kuwento ni JP, ang naging dahilan umano ng kaniyang pagkadismaya ay pagtatama niya sa maling pangalan niyang isinulat sa cup ng barista, subalit ang ending, mali pa rin nang tinawag na siya para ibigay ang order.

Ang unang pangalan daw na isinulat ng barista sa cup ay "Jade." Itinama niya ito bilang "JP." Subalit nang i-release na ang order, "JC" na raw ang itinawag sa kaniya.

"I ordered a Grande Café Americano and a Cinnamon Danish, planning to stay awhile and read. The queue wasn’t too long. When it was my turn, the barista asked for my name (as usual) and wrote it on the cup," kuwento niya.

Sa pagpapatuloy, "When he set the cup down, I saw it read 'Jade.' I corrected him, saying it should be 'JP.' No apology, he crumpled the cup and grabbed a new one. I even spelled out the initials: It's JP, J for Juliet and P for Papa, JP."

"After that, I handed over a ₱1,000 bill for the payment. He asked if I had a smaller bill. I didn’t, but I offered to get the change later since I’d be staying there anyway. He 'borrowed' my receipt (perhaps as a reminder) but ended up giving me the change right then. And yet, he still kept the receipt with him."

"I waited for my order. A few minutes passed, and I heard a barista call out in an unpleasant tone: 'Café Americano for JC!'

I didn’t react. It wasn’t my name. I assumed someone else had a similar order. But after several more minutes and the addition of a Cinnamon Danish to the tray, I started to wonder. Still, 'JC' was being called, repeatedly and coldly, with no one stepping up."

"That’s when I realized: they meant me," aniya pa.

Dahil sa pagiging "frustrated" at "disappointed," nagdesisyon daw si JP na umalis na lang at huwag kunin ang nabanggit na order kahit bayad na ito.

"Frustrated and disappointed, I decided to walk out without claiming my order. It’s been about 30 minutes now. I imagine they’re still calling out 'JC' for an order that’s probably headed to the garbage can soon."

Pagtatapos niya, "Sorry, #Starbucks. Today, you lost a customer."

Umani naman ito ng iba't ibang reaksiyon at komento mula sa netizens, na mababasa sa comment section ng kaniyang mismong viral post.

"Main character yarn?"

"OA!! My name is Karl but always spelled as Carl in my cup but I never complain or ask to change it, because it's just Coffee, you throw it away after drinking it. This is not some kind of souvenir. Place your entitlement properly."

"People are dying, JC."

"Starbucks: Wala akong pake."

"Are you dead serious? Just because of a mispronounced/misspelled/misheard name? My ghad. Muske si Isko na idolo mo, iintindihin 'yung barista dahil baka pagod lang. Mga middle class and intellectuals talaga, never beats the allegation of entitlement, self-absorbed, and wapakels sa sitwasyon ng iba because they are too comfy in their lives. Kalokohan mo, 'nak."

Sa kabilang banda ay may ilang mga nagtanggol at pumanig din naman sa customer. 

"starbuck lazy staff. lagi ako nag sb pero no excuse of lazy staff trabaho nila yan ayusin naman."

"Bakit nga naman kasi mali eh ilang beses na itinama haha."

"Na-experience ko rin 'yan, haha, nairita ako at umalis na lang. I feel you."

Habang isinusulat ang balitang ito ay umabot na sa 65k reactions, 23k shares, at 156 comments ang nabanggit na viral Facebook post.

Samantala, wala pang tugon, reaksiyon, o opisyal na pahayag ang pamunuan ng nabanggit na coffee shop hinggil sa isyu.
