Nagbigay-mensahe si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. sa mga tagasuporta ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte. 

“The government is just doing its job," saad ni Marcos sa kaniyang press briefing nitong Martes ng gabi, Marso 11, ilang minuto ng pag-alis ng eroplanong sinasakyan ni Duterte patungo sa The Hague, Netherlands.

"It's not because it's one person or another that we do the things that we do. Maybe noong mga nakaraang administrasyon, baka gano'n ang ginagawa, pero sa'kin, hindi naman gano'n. Sumusunod tayo sa batas," dagdag pa ng pangulo.

Nauna na ring sinabi ni Marcos na ang pag-aresto kay Duterte ay alinsunod sa commitment ng bansa sa Interpol at hindi "political persecution."
