Nagbigay ng pahayag si Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte kaugnay sa Masungi Georeserve, isang conservation area na matatagpuan sa probinsya ng Rizal.
Sa isang Facebook post ni Belmonte nitong Lunes, Marso 10, sinabi niyang nagsilbing simbolo ng pag-asa at ipinakita kung ano ang maabot ng isang community conservation.
“Through reforestation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable ecotourism, the foundation has safeguarded vital ecosystems while inspiring countless individuals to take part in environmental stewardship,” saad ni Belmonte.
Pagpapatuloy niya, “We believe that the spirit of conservation and the urgent need to protect our dwindling natural resources must guide the way forward.”

Kaya naman sa panahon na nagiging banta sa likas na yaman ng bansa ang climate change at deforestation, nanawagan si Belmonte ng dayalogo at pakikipagtulungan upang maipagpatuloy ang inisyatibo ng conservation.
Aniya, “Masungi stands as proof that restoration is possible when communities, organizations, and leaders work together.”
“Now more than ever, we must move forward with solutions that strengthen and sustain our forests, ensuring their protection for the well-being of our planet and communities,” dugtong pa ni Belmonte.
