Pinaiimbestigahan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang napaulat na hindi pagbibigay ng diskwento at value added tax (VAT) exemption sa mga senior citizen at sa persons with disability (PWD).

Nanawagan din ang kongresista sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) upang bantayan ang mga establisimyento sa pagpapatupad ng nasabing batas.

Bilang pangunahing may-akda ng Republic Act (RA) 10754 o Act Expanding the Benefits and Privileges of Persons with Disability (PWDs), 

Paliwanag ng kongresista, maaaring gamitin ng Kamara ang oversight function nito at atasan ang angkop na komite upang imbestigahan ang usapin "in aid of legislation."

“We want to know from the government how the concerned people have been complying with this law. We should show malasakit (concern) over the plight of our PWDs. We just want to ensure that PWDs are enjoying the benefits they deserve under the law three years after its enactment. Let us work to beef up efforts in informing the public about the standards set by law for the rights and privileges of our PWDs," pagbibigay-diin pa ni Romualdez sa isang radio interview.
