Nakatakdang bumisita ang tropa ng pamahalaan sa Ayungin Shoal sa Palawan para sa kanilang rotation at resupply (RoRe) mission sa kabila ng tensyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China.
Gayunman, wala pang ibinigay na eksaktong petsa si Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Spokesperson Col. Medel Aguilar, para sa pagbisita sa nasabing bahagi ng pinag-aagawang West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Paliwanag ni Aguilar, ang RoRe mission ay pagpapakita lamang ng Pilipinas na "naninindigan ito laban sa anumang banta at pamimilit, at pangako na rin nito na itaguyod ang pananaig ng batas."
“Despite the incident on Aug. 5, where Philippine supply vessels were blocked, subjected to dangerous maneuvers and water cannon, the Armed Forces of the Philippines is duty-bound to ensure the well-being of its personnel on the BRP Sierra Madre,” pahayag ni Aguilar sa isang pulong balitaan sa Quezon City nitong Sabado.

“We are, therefore, committed to the conduct of another rotation and resupply (RoRe) mission for our personnel and to maintain our presence in Ayungin Shoal. As we continue to pursue this humanitarian undertaking and defend our rights over our maritime zones, we also affirm our support for the peaceful settlement of disputes," sabi pa ng opisyal.2
