“They were pets, but in ways that their murderer/s could never understand, Kobe, Daya, Bruce, Batman, and Kikay were family.”

“We are asking local animal welfare organizations to please help us find the people responsible and bring them to justice,” panawagan ni Go.

“The images alone are heartbreaking. But even more so is what this loss means to our family.”

“Whenever my mom and dad missed us, they’d step out of our front door and their pups would be there. Ready to receive the affection my parents would have given us had we not lived so far away. Ready to reciprocate with unconditional love, just as we do.”

“Because of them, my parents’ longing for earlier days and a fuller house had slightly eased. Gone were the boxes of cereal that we, their human kids, used to start our mornings with. But in their place were packs of Eggnog cookies that my dad picked up as dog treats every time he shopped for groceries,” kuwento niya.

“They were pets, but in ways that their murderer/s could never understand, Kobe, Daya, Bruce, Batman, and Kikay were family,” saad ni Go. “They had unique personalities and quirks — just like our human family members. They were part of what made our house a home.”

“Unfortunately, that home now feels noticeably more hollow, like that of any other grieving household. And my parents, once again, feel like they have lost their children.”

“If you know anyone who can help us give our dogs the justice they deserve, please pass this along to them or reach out to us.

“And if you have your own pups, please hug them tighter and show them a little more love today. 💔,” saad ni Go.
