Nagbahagi ang Masungi Georeserve ng mga larawan ng ‘star-shaped flowers’ na Hoya meliflua na sa Pilipinas lamang umano matatagpuan.
Sa social media post ng Masungi, kapansin-pansin ang kulang pink at hugis star na ganda ng bulaklak ng Hoya meliflua.

“Only found in the Philippines, the ???? ???????? is characterized by its star-shaped flowers that produce dripping nectar, creating red stains that attract pollinators.”
Karaniwan umanong nagsisimulang mag-bloom ang Hoya meliflua tuwing buwan ng Mayo.
“In fact, more species are expected to flower soon in other iconic spots in the georeserve,” saad ng Masungi.
Naharap ang Masungi Georeserve sa mga banta mula sa iba’t ibang human activities. Ito ang nag-udyok sa mga indibidwal at grupo na manawagan sa pamahalaan na proteksyunan ito.
