Inaasahan na ang pakikipagpulong ng Chinese government kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. pagkatapos ng biyahe nito mula Amerika.
Sa pahayag ni University of the Philippines (UP) professor Dr. Chester Cabalza, layunin ng pagpupulong na matalakay ang relasyon sa pagitan ng China at Pilipinas.
“We know that after our president returns home from the US, United Kingdom, and Indonesia, because of the ASEAN summit, China will also talk to Malacañang to discuss their relationship with us,” banggit ni Cabalza sa isang news forum nitong Sabado.
"I’m sure that China is planning something for us because we know that the competition between the US and China is strong,” aniya.

Tinanong din si Cabalza kung mababawasan ang pagiging agresibo ng China sa Ayungin Shoal kasunod na rin ng pakikipagpulong ni Marcos sa U.S. government. "That's what we'll be waiting (for) from China. They always offeredus the linesof communication from them, that proposal camefrom the coastguard diplomacysince2017," aniya.
“That action should come from China because we are doing our best to have a good relationship with China,”sabini Cabalza.
Sa kasalukuyan, nasa United Kingdom si Marcos para sa koronasyon ni King Charles III, at lilipad pa ito patungong Indonesia para sa 42nd ASEAN Summit bago umuwi sa Pilipinas.
