Ngayong Araw ng Kagitingan, Abril 9, ipinahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte na bilang pagbibigay-pugay umano sa mga bayani ng kasaysayan, maging inspirado nawa ang mga Pilipino na magpamalas ng kabutihan at bayanihan sa kapwa, lalo na sa pinakamahihirap na sektor sa bansa.
“As we honor the heroic courage of our fallen heroes of Bataan, may we be inspired to demonstrate gallant acts of kindness and bayanihan among our kababayan from the most vulnerable sectors,” ani Duterte sa kaniyang video message.
“May their legacy continue to inspire us in our resolve of enriching our national heritage and strengthening our democratic institutions as we work together in overcoming the most pressing issues of society today.”
Ayon sa Bise Presidente, ang Battle of Bataan ay nag-iwan ng hindi maaalis na marka ng pagiging makabayan, katapangan, at katatagan ng mga Pilipino sa harap ng mga suliranin.

“Today’s Day of Valor is a firm reminder of the indomitable Filipino spirit that is able to selflessly endure the most grueling situations for the sake of liberty and in the name of our cherished freedoms,” ani Duterte.
“We are called on this occasion to embody a strong sense of bravery in rising above the unconquerable challenges of nationhood as we tirelessly commit to our enduring fight against the social ills that corrupt the core of governance and march on toward our hope of inclusive and resilient progress,” dagdag niya.
Hinikayat din ni Duterte ang mga Pilipinong magkaisa patungo sa kaunlaran.
“Let us walk together on the same path of bravery as we pursue socioeconomic advancement, uphold lasting reforms, and encourage one another in promoting the deep love of country that is founded on our shared quest for a brighter tomorrow for every Filipino,” ani Duterte.
“Maging mas masigasig tayong pag-ibayuhin ang ating sama-samang adhikain tungo sa mas maunlad na bansa, dala-dala ang mensahe ng katapangan at kabayanihan na ipinamana sa atin ng ating mga bayani,” saad pa niya.
