Binigyang-diin ni Vice President at Education Secretary Sara Duterte nitong Huwebes, Pebrero 16, na napakahalaga ng teknolohiya sa legal profession maging sa basic education ng bansa.
Sa pahayag ni Duterte sa fellowship night ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines’ (IBP) 50th Founding Anniversary sa Lanang, Davao City, ibinahagi ni Duterte na ang modernong teknolohiya ang magbibigay ng maliwanag na kinabukasan sa abogasya.
“Technology is revolutionizing legal practice in unprecedented ways and transforming how lawyers provide legal services to clients and how the law is taught and learned,” ani Duterte.
Sinabi rin niya na dahil sa teknolohiya, nagiging mas accessible na ang pag-aaral ng batas sa pamamagitan ng cloud storage, online subscription, and e-copies ng legal papers, documents, textbooks, at ang pag-access ng Supreme Court (SC) Annotated Rules sa gadgets.

“Legal professionals and practitioners can now collaborate easily and more dynamically with cloud-based technologies, which allows for increased productivity and faster decision-making,” dagdag pa niya.
Pagdating naman sa sektor ng edukasyon kung saan nagsisilbing kalihim si Duterte, sinabi niyang bukod sa pagdagdag ng mga silid-aralan at mga guro, ang teknolohiya rin ang nakikita ng Department of Education (DepEd) na paraan para masolusyunan ang problema ng basic education sa bansa.
“The [goal is] to leverage on available technology worldwide — that is to create electronic classrooms, to subscribe to electronic libraries, to subscribe to electronic books, and amplify the best teachers through technology,” ani Duterte.
