Matapos ang paghikayat ng ilang matataas na opisyal ng South Korea sa pagsalang din ng pitong miyembro ng K-pop supergroup BTS sa military service, kinumpirma ng kanilang record label nitong Lunes, Oktubre 17, ang pagtalima ng grupo sa batas.
Sa isang pahayag, inanunsyo ng BigHit Music ang sunod na hakbang ng BTS—ang pagsalang ng pitong miyembro na sina RM, Jin, V, Suga, Jungkook, J-Hope at Jimin sa 18 hanggang 21 buwang military service.
“After the phenomenal concert to support Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030, and as each individual embarks on solo endeavors, it’s the perfect time and the members of BTS are honored to serve,” anang BigHit Music.
Kamakailan, isa ang commissioner of the Military Manpower Administration na si Lee Ki Sik ang nagpahayag sa mga mambabatas ng South Korea ukol sa nararapat lang na pagtalima ng BTS sa kanilang military duty bilang pagtitiyak na naipatutupad nang patas ang batas.

Nauna rin itong sinegundahan ni Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup sa naganap na parliamentary committee meeting noong unang linggo ng Oktubre.
Sa pahayag ng BigHit Music, unang sasalang sa military service si Jin, ang pinakamatandang miyembro sa grupo.
“Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the ened of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government,” saad ng record label at idinagdag na susundan ito ng anim pang miyembro kasunod ng kanilang “individual plans.”
Pagtitiyak naman ng BigHit sa global fans, muling magsasama ang grupo sa 2025 pagkatapos ng enlistment ng pitong miyembro.
