"I was informed that I am being considered for the position. Yes, I was informed," pahayag niChavez sa panayam sa telebisyon nitong Miyerkules.
"I'm even surprised to be included in the list, there are more qualified, highly qualified for that position. I expressed no interest in that position, I did not apply for the position," pagbibigay-diin ni Chavez.

"I tendered my resignation this morning, effective end of business hours today. Due to health reasons. It was a pleasure working with you," sabi ni Cruz-Angeles matapos kapanayamin ng mga mamamahayag nitong Martes.
Noong Mayo, tinanggap ni Cruz-Angeles ang nasabing posisyon matapos ialok sa kanya ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr..
