Ibinahagi ni PMAJ Sofia Loren Deliu ang kaniyang mga naging karanasan at mga natutunan kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa loob ng anim na taon niyang paglilingkod dito.

Inamin niya na hindi siya bumoto noong 2016 at hindi niya ganoong kilala si Pangulong Duterte. Nang makilala naman niya ang pangulo, talagang namangha umano siya dahil sa taos-puso nitong paglilingkod sa publiko, may media man o wala. 

"Getting to know more about PRRD along the way, I was truly amazed. He had such a big heart and is really sincere about public service. Even without cameras and the media, he was 100% sincere. He was concerned with everyone around him, he doesn't care about anyone's social status, and he treats everyone fairly. He was a REAL person to everyone," saad ni Deliu sa kaniyang Facebook post.

Pahayag pa niya, hindi raw perpekto ang pangulo sa kaniyang paraan at salita pero ang mahalaga raw ay ang kinalabasan at resulta ng kaniyang trabaho. Sa kabila ng kritisismo, nanatili raw na matapang ang pangulo.

"PRRD remained strong amidst all the bashing and challenges that came his way. But that doesn't mean he was not hurt or tired. At the end of the day, he's only human. No matter how stressed he was, he never showed any signs of weaknesses. He never complained. He just jokes about it," anang close-in-aide.

Kahit na hindi matututukan ni Deliu ang pamilya dahil close-in-aide siya ni PRRD, dedikado pa rin siyang paglingkuran ang pangulo dahil para sa kaniya, ang paglilingkod sa pangulo ay paglilingkod din sa sambayanang Pilipino.

"It was not an easy ride being on PRRD's side as everyone may think. It takes a lot of courage and persistence. I may have gained friends but I have also gained enemies and people who were disappointed in me for not being able to cater to their wants and needs," aniya.

"After all, I did my best to my capacity and that capacity has limits. The pressure, the stress, the sacrifices, everything I have been through for the last 6 years was a roller coaster ride. But I was able to endure all of these because PRRD is worth it. The Filipino people are worth it. At the end of the day, I was happy," dagdag pa niya.

Sa Hunyo 30 matatapos ang termino ni Duterte, ikinararangal ni Deliu na maging bahagi ng Duterte Legacy. Nagpasalamat din siya sa pangulo sa lahat ng mga ginawa nito para sa mga Pilipino.

"As PRRD's term comes to an end, I'm truly honored that I have been a part of his team and will always take pride in the DUTERTE LEGACY. Thank you PRRD for everything you have done for the Filipino people. Even if they have not seen all your efforts, sacrifices, etc. You are truly a one of a kind leader. We hope that someday, someone will be able to surpass everything you have done for this country," pagpapasalamat niya sa pangulo.

"I have learned so many things from you and this experience taught me a lot of things that I may have never learned in my lifetime as a police officer, as a government worker, and as a person.

"It's now time for you to relax and rest from all this ruckus and just enjoy your retirement sir. You have done more than enough and you deserve the long awaited peace of mind sir," dagdag pa niya.
