Para sa paghahanda sa seguridad sa nalalapit na Mayo 9, 2022 national at local elections, aabot sa 16,820 uniformed personnel ng Philippine National Police sa buong bansa ang sumasailalim sa mandatory career courses at field training exercises na idedeploy para magserbisyo sa halalan, kinumpirma ito ni PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos nitong Abril 7. 

Sa kabuuang bilang nasa 1,208 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) at 15,612 ang Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs).

Sa idinaos na ceremonial turn-over sa Camp Crame, nasa kabuuang 1,007 police officers na binubuo ng 611 PCOs ang sumasalang sa Officers Senior Executive Course (OSEC), Officer’s Advance Course (OAC), Public Safety Basic Officer’s Course (PSOBC), at 396 PNCOs naman ang opisyal na itinurn-over ng PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (DHRDD) sa PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM). 

Pinangunahan ni Gen. Carlos ang nasabing seremonya at pinuri ang lahat ng na idedeploy sa halalan para sa pagsasakripisyo at dedikasyon sa ngalan ng serbisyo publiko. 

“All of us here today share the same aspiration of ushering in peaceful, honest, and fair national and local elections and restoring the trust and credibility in the electoral process abound. Undeniably, there is no cause more worthy than the cause of ensuring that the loftiest exercise of the democratic right to suffrage by the Filipino citizens will be pursued in this forthcoming National and Local May 2022 Elections,” sabi ni Carlos.

Samantala sa tuloy-tuloy na turn-over ng 15,813 PCOs at PNCOs mula sa 17 Police Regional Offices maging ng Regional Task Groups ng PNP Security Task Force NLE 2022.

“As you assume election duties, may you be reminded of the primordial goal of every police officer to always provide a professional, fast, efficient, and courteous response to a legitimate citizen's request for police service or assistance. Let us always ensure that the judicious use of police authority shall be grounded on the respect for human dignity, transparency, integrity, accountability, rule of law, and democratic governance,” ayon pa sa PNP chief.
