Umaasa ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) na halos aabot sa 66 milyong rehistradong botante ang boboto sa May 2022 polls.

“We are very happy that we have this high numbers. We hope that the interest of the public will be sustained until Election Day,” ani Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez sa isang virtual press briefing nitong Lunes, Disyembre 20.

“We haven’t seen this kind of increase…this sort of thing is sort of historic in terms of the number of people that actually registered,” aniya.

“It is gratifying to see that the public is so mobilized and is so intent in exercising their right to vote, especially after news came out that the people wouldn’t vote,” dagdag ni Jimenez.
