Nanawagan ang Air Carriers Association of the Philippines (ACAP) sa gobyerno na gawing simple ang mga requirement para sa mga biyahero, at gumawa rin ng adjustments sa sa kasalukuyang travel policy upang matugunan ang pagsisimula ng pagtaas ng travel demand sa panahon ng bakasyon.
Sa isang pahayag, hinimok din ng ACAP ang mga local government units (LGUs) na tumanggap ng mga vaccination card kahit walang QR code bilang bahagi ng pinasimpleng travel process.
Kasalukuyang nakatatanggap ng mataas na demand ang airline industry sa Pilipinas para sa mga flight batay sa forward bookings at passenger inquiries.

Upang matugunan ang airline demands, umaapela ang ACAP sa gobyerno na taasan ang umiiral na cap na 4,000 hanggang 10,000 na arawang pasahero sa mga international arrivals para sa mga inbound passengers na hinahatid ng lahat ng mga international airlines sa bansa.
“ACAP also shared the view that fully-vaccinated inbound travelers from ‘Green List’ countries should no longer form part of, and be excluded from the daily cap on international arrivals, considering that these travelers are no longer undergoing facility-based quarantine upon their arrival,” sabi ng pahayag.
Nanawagan din ang ACAP para sa pagbabawas ng quarantine days para sa bakunado nang mga pasahero mula sa mga bansang “Yellow List,” mula sa kasalukuyang lima hanggang dalawang araw.
“These recommendations, if considered and adopted by the government, will enable travelers, especially Overseas Filipino Workers and balikbayans who have long been wanting to return to the Philippines for Christmas, to enjoy seamless, convenient and hassle-free travel across all touch points of their journey,” dagdag ng pahayag.
“Further, these measures once implemented will be a huge boost to a recovering aviation and tourism industry, both of which were badly hit by the pandemic.”
