Hinikayat ng Department of Health (DOH) na gawing “maiksi at diretso sa punto” ang video conferences at online meetings para maiwasan ang virtual fatigue.

“I suggest that yung [online] meetings iiksian natin and the direct to the point kung ano lang ang pagme-meetingan,” sabi ni DOH-Mental Health Division Consultant Dr. Agnes Casiño sa isang online forum nitong Martes, Agosto 10.

Ang mahabang oras sa mga video conferences at online meetings ay maaaring magresulta ng malalang pagod, paglalahad ni Casiño.

“There are studies supporting that we cannot really have the whole day attending video conferences or meetings online,” dagdag nito.

Ipinunto ng health official na maaari namang gawin sa ibang pamamaraan ang ilang trabaho, kagaya ng pakikipag-usap via emails.

“In between meetings, have time to walk around or have a breathing exercise before you go on to the next meeting,” dagdag nito.

Payo ni Casiño, magtakda ng schedule ang mga work from home na manggagawa para mapanatili ang balance sa pagitan ng trabaho at buhay sa labas nito.

“For example. When you were going to work, wake up at 6 a.m., you take a bath, and dress up. You prepare also the way you are doing it before. Have this time that you psychologically prepare yourself: ‘this is work now,’” sabi niCasiño.

“Have this place at home that is considered as your workplace to set your mind that you are now at work,” dagdag niya.

Kung may bata namang inaalagaan, mahalaga raw na naipapaliwanag sa mga ito ang work schedule.

“After work, like 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. you prepare yourself. Take a breathing exercise after you work and close everything and ‘this is now my life. ’This is outside of work,” dagdag ni Casiño.
