LALARGA sa Simunul Island sa Tawi-Tawi ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)-Women’s Street Volleyball sa Nobyembre 3-6.

Kabuuang 600 kababaihan buhat sa 15 barangay ang inaasahang makikilahok sa nasabing event na pinamumunuan ni Women in Sports Oversight Commissioner PSC Commissioner Celia Kiram at ng mismong Mayor ng Simunul na si Nazif Ahmad Bayo Abduraman.

“The people of Simunul are very much into sports, especially volleyball. They play it in every street, down to the beach area,” ani Kiram. “We have excellent players in this region. That is why we are also promoting our grassroots development here and discover future talents that will be soon be part of our national team,” aniya.

Ibinigay na halimbawa ni Kiram ang panalo ng Tawi-Tawi Volleyball Team kontra sa National Team nitong 2018 Philippine National Games na ginanap sa Cebu.

Samantala, nakatakda ring magkaloob ng mga sports equipments ang PSC sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Simunul sa apat na araw na pagtatanghal ng nasabing event.
