BAGO mag-shoot si Kris Aquino ng horror movie sa Marso ay aalis muna silang mag-iina patungo sa ibang bansa at doon na rin niya ipagdiriwang ang kanyang kaarawan.
Ito ang pahayag ni Kris pagkatapos ng Q and A sa presscon ng bago niyang product endorsement na Ever Bilena nitong Sabado sa Shangri-La Edsa Hotel.

“We’re living on the 11th (February) for a short birthday break because I had to do this because um-agree ako talaga, I’m gone for March 4 all the way until Holy Week and the boys can’t be with me.
“So medyo matagal ‘yun for them, that’s four weeks of ‘no mom.’ So, sinabi ko na, ‘Okay I’ll ask for it, I said a 10-day, para advance bawi already because I know na it’s gonna be a big adjustment for them na ganu’n katagal because I’ve never been away that long.
“And I’m so excited because si (Direk) Adolf Alix the one I’m working with. And I love his works. The Martial Law (GMA-7 Special, Alaala) he did was beautiful ‘tapos when he brought awareness about depression kay Maine (Mendoza) at kay Alden (Richards) and ni-research ko rin ang mga indie movies niya, nanood din ako talaga.
“And the fact that we’re doing a horror movie together, and my cinematographer there is Neil Daza who has done all my Chito Roño films. So, it’s a new breed of a director with the DOP who has done my biggest hit, super excited na talaga ako.
“This (iflix) movie is a very unique concept that’s why I said yes to it. Nai-excite ako rito, there’s less pressure and I’m the first na ipagpo-produce nila na movie and I’m focusing on the emerging market, so nakakatuwa ‘yun,” kuwento ng Queen of Online World and Social Media.
Gusto sanang bumalik nina Josh at Bimby sa New York, “But Nicko did not allow because of the jetlag because pagbalik ko dito, may 3-day (rest) ‘tapos trabaho na. So, doon kami pupunta sa bansa na hindi ako maje-jet lag. So, it’s a 6 hours difference or actually 18 hours ahead of them so kung iisipin, parang napuyat ka lang and madaling mag-adjust talaga and compromise ‘yun kasi maraming opportunities na nakapanghihinayang kung aantuk-antok ako pag-uwi,” paliwanag ni Kris.
Nabanggit din ni Kris na may iniaalok ding project sa kanya si Direk Chris Martinez at Direk Paul Soriano.
“I took meeting with Direk Chris Martinez and also Direk Paul Soriano, they’re both pitching for me for it could possibly for Metro Manila Film Festival, but the businesswoman in me, bawal ang intrusions.
“’Yan ang rule nila (MMFF) ngayon, kaya sabi ko, ‘sayang.’ Because I think the festival wants to maintain artistic integrity, so sabi ko, ‘can you consider another date?’ I’m excited because both directors are (good). Direk Chris wrote Sukob and I was just so impressed with Siargao. And sinuman sa kanila, because I had only one body, so kung sinuman sa kanila ang ‘one’ that I can choose, so I’m excited,” masayang sabi pa ni Kris.
Masaya ring ibinalita ni Kris na imbitado siya sa gaganaping red carpet premiere ng Crazy Rich Asian ng Warner Brothers.
“Doon ako nai-excite kasi we were told by Warner Brothers na I’m invited to attend several red carpet premiere for Crazy Rich Asians, so sabi ko, OMG! August pa naman ‘yun, so mga May ko na paghahandaan, pero na-excite ako, minsan lang ‘yun. And the fact na sinabing, ‘we hope that she can block all her schedule for these dates.’ So, na-excite talaga ako with the possibilities that open up,” masayang kuwento ni Kris.
Samantala, tuloy ang dating ng product endorsements ni Kris. After Ever Bilena last weekend, contract signing naman niya kahapon sa Seda Hotel Vertis North para sa 40th product endorsement niyang Healthy Family na pag-aari ng Ayala na ginanap sa Seda Hotel.
