Sinisikap na mailawan ang maraming bahagi ng bansa, partikular sa kanayunan o mga baryo, ipinasa ng House Committee on Appropriations ang panukalang “Electric Cooperatives Emergency and Resiliency Fund”. Magagamit ang pondo sa “disaster prevention, management, and mitigation measures of electric cooperatives and for rehabilitation of their infrastructures damaged by force majeure or fortuitous events.”
Ang panukala ay inendorso ng House Committee on Energy matapos isapinal ang Section 11 tungkol sa alokasyon ng Electric Cooperatives Emergency and Resiliency Fund at ang Section 10 hinggil sa pagpopondo dito.
May titulong “Electric Cooperatives Emergency and Resiliency Fund,” ang panukala ay inakda nina Reps. Carlos Roman Uybarreta (Party-list, I-CARE), Rodel Batocabe (Party-list, AKO BICOL) at Deputy Speaker Ilocos Norte Second District Rep. Eric Singson. - Bert de Guzman
