WASHINGTON (AFP) – Sinabi ni US President Donald Trump nitong Sabado na nalalapit na ang wakas ng caliphate ng grupong Islamic State kasunod ng pagbagsak ng dating balwarte nito sa Raqa, Syria.
‘’With the liberation of ISIS’s capital and the vast majority of its territory, the end of the ISIS caliphate is in sight,’’ ani Trump, gamit ang alternate acronym para sa IS.
Sinabi niyang susuportahan ng United States at mga kaalyado nito ang diplomatic negotiations ‘’that end the violence, allow refugees to return safely home, and yield a political transition that honors the will of the Syrian people.’’
