BINALAAN ng Food and Drug Administration ang publiko laban sa pagbili at pagkonsumo ng ilang hindi rehistradong food supplements na ibinebenta online.

Nilinaw ng ahensiya na ang mga food supplement gaya ng Kos Agaricus Blazei, Pappa Reale Alvear na may Ginseng Royal Jelly, AVS Retina, Carnidyn, Clorofilla, Long Life Creatina, Micotwin Zen, Marco Viti Charcoall, Essecore Essebaby, at Sifi Epinerve ay hindi nakarehistro sa Food and Drug Administration.

“Since unregistered food supplements have not gone through evaluation and testing process of the FDA, the agency cannot guarantee their quality and safety. The consumption of such violative products may pose potential health hazards to the consuming public,” saad sa advisory ng Food and Drug Administration.

“Food products, including food supplements, should not bear any misleading, deceptive, and false claims in their labels and/or any promotional materials that will provide erroneous impression on products’ character or identity.”

Dahil dito, pinaalalahanan ng ahensiya ang publiko na huwag bumili ng mga produktong hindi nakarehistro sa Food and Drug Administration.

Para masuri kung ang produkto ay nakarehistro sa ahensiya, maaaring gamitin ng publiko ang nakalagay na search feature sa website ng Food and Drug Administration na www.fda.gov.ph.
