Labinwalong estudyanteng Pinoy ang ipinadala ng Department of Education (DepEd) bilang delegado sa Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS): Rugby Exchange.

“This is a notable program as it fosters mutual understanding and friendly relations between the participating youths of different countries in Asia, which include the Philippines,” pahayag ni DepEd- Bureau of Learner Support Services Director Rizalino Jose Rosales, sa Pinning and Send-Off Ceremonies ng JENESYS delegates, na idinaos sa DepEd Central Office sa Pasig City.

Pinangungunahan ng Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), ang youth exchange program ngayong taon ay nakapokus sa pagpapahusay sa interes ng mga bansa sa Asia sa larong rugby, at paghahanda sa 2019 Rugby World Cup, na idaraos sa Japan. (Mary Ann Santiago)
