“Our priority project as mentioned by the [incoming] president is really looking at the health and welfare of the 20 million poorest Filipinos. And we will provide services to the 20 million poorest Filipinos,” sinabi ni Ubial sa mga mamamahayag sa isang ambush interview nitong Biyernes.

“In particular, mandatory annual checkup. So that we can get whatever illness that ails them early enough and we will intervene and provide the necessary services. Even the tertiary care services, ‘yung mga may bukol, ooperahan natin.

“Maganda ‘yung background ko working with the indigenous group and also having the side of developing the policies.

Nariyan na po, meron na tayong program that we worked on with the European Union on engaging the indigenous groups in Mindanao and we will expand that to the rest of the country,” sabi ni Ubial. (Charina Clarisse L. Echaluce)
