LOS ANGELES (AFP) – Nagwagi ang A-listers na sina Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Matt Damon, Jennifer Lawrence, at Sylvester Stallone, sa Golden Globes kahapon sa isang star-studded gala na simula ng taunang awards season sa Hollywood.

Ngunit nakatutok ang lahat ng dumalo sa taunang gala, na ginanap sa Beverly Hills, kung aling pelikula ang makasusungkit sa prestihiyosong best motion picture drama award — at nakahinga nang maluwag ang lahat nang, gaya ng inaasahan at inaasam, ay si Leonardo nga ang kinilalang Best Actor in a Drama para sa The Revenant.

Nasungkit ng pelikula ang best motion picture award at ang direktor nitong si Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ang best director.

Nanalo si Kate bilang best supporting actress sa kanyang pagganap sa biopic na Steve Jobs, at best actor in a comedy si Matt para sa The Martian — na nag-uwi rin ng tropeo para sa best comedy o musical film.

Best supporting actor naman si Sylvester para sa Creed, ang muli niyang pagganap sa iconic role ni Rocky Balboa.

Ang seremonya — na maituturing na pasilip sa mga magwawagi sa Academy Awards sa Pebrero 28 — ay hosted ng British comedian na si Ricky Gervais.
