Inihayag ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) na binigyan na nito ng awtorisasyon ang 26 na lisensiyadong recruitment agency na mangalap ng mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW) para sa mga job opening sa New Zealand.
Sa isang pahayag, inabisuhan ni POEA Administrator Hans Cacdac ang mga OFW na interesadong magtrabaho sa New Zealand na magsumite ng kanilang aplikasyon sa mga awtorisadong recruitment agency upang hindi mabiktima ng mga illegal recruiter.
“Recruitment agencies and their respective job orders from New Zealand and other countries can be accessed at http://www.poea.gov.ph/cgibin/JobVacancies/jobsByCty.asp,” pahayag ni Cacdac.
Kabilang sa mga job opening ay karpintero, pintor, plasterer, bricklayer, blocklayer, mason, electrician, welder, fabricater at plasterer.
Binigyang-diin ni Cacdac na hindi nangangalap ang POEA ng mga OFW para sa New Zealand dahil walang government-to-government agreement ang Pilipinas sa dating British colony.
