“As part of the heightened security measures for the holiday season and the approach of New Year 2026, the Philippine National Police is strictly enforcing a One-Strike Policy against indiscriminate firing,” panimula ng PNP.
Saad pa nila, “This policy underscores the PNP’s firm commitment to protecting lives and ensuring public safety during a period meant for peace, not preventable harm.”
“Any act of reckless or celebratory gunfire is a serious violation of duty and will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Personnel found guilty of indiscriminate firing shall face immediate administrative sanctions and criminal liability in accordance with existing laws, without warning or second chances,” anang PNP.
“This includes dismissal from the service and the filing of appropriate criminal cases, as warranted. Immediate and decisive action is required from all unit commanders. Personnel involved in indiscriminate firing will be relieved and placed under preventive suspension at once, pending investigation. Command responsibility is absolute—every level must be accountable to uphold discipline and safeguard public trust in the PNP,” dagdag pa nila.
