Idineklara umano ng lahat ng independent medical experts na sumuri kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na “fit to stand trial” ito at puwede nang humarap sa paghuhusga ng hukuman ng International Criminal Court (ICC).
Ayon sa naging pahayag ng human rights advocates at ICC assisting counsel na si Atty. Kristina Conti sa kaniyang “X” account nitong Biyernes, Disyembre 19, ibinalita niyang napatunayan ng mga medical experts na “fit” si FPRRD para humarap sa paghuhusga ng ICC.
“ICC Update: All independent medical experts find Duterte ‘fit to stand trial’. In separate submissions, the Prosecution, Defense, and OPCV (interim victims legal representative) submitted comments and observations about the reports they received on December 8, 2025,” mababasa sa thread ni Conti.
Dagdag pa ni Conti, ipinakita raw ng naging report ng mga medical experts na may kakayahang maintindihan ni FPRRD ang mga kaso, ebidensya at iba pa kaugnay sa mga kasong kinakaharap niya.

“Prosecutor noted, that while Duterte is ‘frail and elderly’, the reports show that "each Panel member independently concluded that Mr Duterte has the ability to: (i) understand the charges and evidence; (ii) understand the conduct, purpose, and possible consequences of the pre-trial proceedings; and (iii) instruct Counsel for the preparation and conduct of his defence,” pagbabahagi niya.
Ani Conti, nasa Pre-Trial Chamber na raw ang desisyon kung tatanggapin nila ang mga pinag-aralan ng medical experts kaugnay kay FPRRD at kung kailangan itutuloy susunod na pagdinig.
“It is the Pre-Trial Chamber which will have the final say. If they agree that Duterte is fit to stand trial, they can order the rescheduling of the confirmation of charges hearing,” pagtatapos niya.
Matatandaang nahaharap ang FPRRD sa umano’y kasong crimes against humanity kaugnay sa madugong giyera kontra droga sa kaniyang panunungkulan noon bilang Pangulo ng Pilipinas.
