“In this time of calamity, many of us feel the urge to help. As we respond to the needs of our communities, let us be reminded that breastfeeding remains the safest and most reliable source of nourishment for infants—espcially those below 6 months of age,” anang VSMMC.

Dagdag pa nila, “Without easy access to clean and safe water, the risk of infection from diarrhea, pneumonia, and other illnesses greatly increase for infants who rely on formula milk.”

“We urge everyone to provide cooked meals and ready to eat food that can sustain families and strengthen lactating mothers—so they can continue giving their children the vital nutrition they need,” saad ng nasabing ospital.

Pakiusap din ng VSMMC sa mga inang may kakayahang mag-produce ng breastmilk, “For mothers who are able, we make an urgent appeal for breast milk donation. Your gift of life can make their difference for babies most at risk in this crisis.”
