Bumilis sa 2.5% ang inflation sa bansa nitong Nobyembre mula sa 2.3% na datos noong buwan ng Oktubre, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) nitong Huwebes, Disyembre 5.
Sa tala ng PSA, ang naturang pagbaba ng inflation noong nakaraang buwan ang nagbunsod sa 3.2% na national average inflation mula Enero hanggang Nobyembre 2024.
Mas mababa naman daw ang nasabing datos nitong Nobyembre kung ikukumpara sa inflation rate ng kaparehong buwan noong 2023 na 4.1%.
“The uptrend in the overall inflation in November 2024 was primarily influenced by the faster annual increment in the index of the heavily-weighted food and non-alcoholic beverages at 3.4 percent during the month from 2.9 percent in October 2024,” anang PSA.
“Also contributing to the uptrend was transport with a slower year-on-year decrease of 1.2 percent in October 2024 from a 2.1 percent annual drop in the previous month,” dagdag nito.
Binanggit din ng PSA na nakita ang mas mataas na annual increments sa mga index ng mga sumusunod na commodity groups sa naturang buwan:
a. Alcoholic beverages at tobacco, 3.1% mula 3.0%;
b. Furnishings, household equipment at routine household maintenance, 2.7% mula 2.4%; at
c. Personal care, at miscellaneous goods and services, 2.9% mula 2.8%.
Samantala, nakitaan ng mas mababang inflation rates nitong Nobyembre ang mga sumusunod na commodity groups:
a. Clothing at footwear, 2.6% mula 2.7%;
b. Housing, water, electricity, gas at iba pang fuels, 1.9% mula 2.4%; at
c. Recreation, sport at culture, 2.4% mula 2.6%.
