Pinuri ni dating Senador Leila de Lima ang naging State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. nitong Lunes, Hulyo 22.

“Congratulations to President BBM on his third SONA. He finished with a resounding bang on his order to close all POGOs by the end of the year, despite the powerful vested interests who will lose money because of it,” ani De Lima.

“Kudos also for reiterating the conduct of anti-drug operations without "extermination". This is a timely assurance to erase any doubt that the past murderous drug war does not have a place in our society. But it's lamentable that there was no mention of  the ICC and the need for justice for thousands of EJK victims,” saad ni De Lima.

“I also support his statements on the WPS. I just hope the recently publicized so-called arrangement with China on Ayungin resupply missions does not denigrate our sovereignty and legitimizes China's fictitious claims,” dagdag niya.

“After two years in power, BBM should now focus on the economy and on alleviating poverty. These are the hardest goals to attain in any administration, and BBM would do well prioritizing economic equality and social justice measures such as further expanding the 4Ps program and pushing for an acceptable minimum wage national legislation for our workers.”

“He should not waste any time. The Filipinos now are easily disenchanted when their demands for more livelihood and the end to chronic corruption in government are simply ignored,” saad ni De Lima.
