Ipinangako ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa kaniyang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ngayong Lunes, Hulyo 22, na magiging “world-class international airport” ang Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Ayon kay Marcos, inaasahan daw na magiging maganda ang hitsura at serbisyo ng NAIA sa mga susunod na taon sa tulong daw ng pangangasiwa ng pribadong sektor.
“Soon, it will be capable of accommodating 48 flights per hour, servicing our ever-increasing local and international flight rules, and catering to more than 62 million passengers every year,” ani Marcos.
“The NAIA PPP (public-private partnerships) will go down in our history not only as among the largest and fastest approved PPPs, but one that has set the bar in terms of openness, transparency, and competitiveness of the process.

“Once considered among the worst and most stressful airports in the world, it will soon be a world-class international airport that we can all be proud of,” saad pa niya.
