Bumalik si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio nitong Biyernes sa binuo niyang regional party na Hugpong ng Pagbabago ilang araw matapos itong magbitiw sa partido at sumapi sa Lakas-CMD.
"I am happy to be home and back into the fold of our beloved Hugpong ng Pagbabago as its chairperson. The HNP chairmanship I now hold concurrently with the chairmanship of Lakas-CMD with the permission of Lakas," ayon sa alkalde.
"I call on my HNP colleagues to forge on and build the strongest region we can ever be, in devoted service to the Filipino people," paliwanag ni Duterte-Carpio.
Paglilinaw naman ni HNP secretary general Anthony Del Rosario, nanumpa ulit si Duterte-Carpio bilang chairperson ng partido nitong Biyernes nitong Nobyembre 19.

Matatandaangnaging miyembro ng Lakas-CMD bilang miyembro noong Nobyembre 11 at nitong nakaraang Huwebes ay pormal na siyang nahalal bilang chairperson din ng partido.
"Mayor Sara’s re-appointment as our chairperson became possible as both parties’ constitution and by-Laws do not prohibit membership and appointment as officer, since HNP is a regional political party," ani Del Rosario.
