“Positive with the martial arts sports, most medals would be coming from arnis, there are 20 medals at stake. Also boxing and taekwondo andof course karatedo to deliver finally this time. ‘Yung jujitsu and judo makakuha din tayo ng golds from those sports. I’m looking at the martial arts sports to deliver easily 30 medals,” pahayag ni Fernandez sa isang panayam sa kanya.

'Aapela raw!'

“PSI president, Lani Velasco has promised 5-10 golds and sa basketball walang problema dun, pagdating sa SEA Game. Hindi naman tayo matatalo dun. But for me personally in relation to my work as a commissioner I’ve been pushing the board to really concentrate more on individual weight category Olympic sports because i feel that’s where we have the chance to compete world wide,” pahayag pa ni Fernandez.

“As far as the expected performance of the athletes, they’re training. These athletes have been athletes since how many years ago. Especially now that we are the host , we have to send our athletes abroad. Almost all of them went abroad. We are a bit delayed by the passage of the budget, it’s all under the bridge right now. We are a bit late but we are trying to catch i believe we are able to catch up,” pahayag pa rin ni Fernandez.
