Hindi nagtagumpay sa pagpapanggap ang tatlong babaeng overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), na pawang nandaya ng edad, sa mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), iniulat ngayong Huwebes.
Sa ulat ni BI port operations division chief Grifton Medina, ang tatlong OFWs ay hinarang sa NAIA-Terminal 1 habang pasakay sa Gulf Air flight papuntang Saudi Arabia nitong Linggo.
Hindi ibinunyag ang pangalan ng mga inaresto, alinsunod na rin sa Anti-Trafficking Law.

"They all presented passports with false birthdates to make it appear that they meet the age requirement for household service workers which is 23 years and above," ayon sa report ni Medina.
Nasa kustodiya ng Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) ang tatlo.
Ayon sa BI Travel Control and Enforcement Unit (TCEU) ng NAIA-Terminal 1, ipinakita ng mga suspek ang kanilang valid overseas employment certificates, job contracts at working visas, ngunit hindi tumugma ang mga impormasyon sa kanilang pasaporte.
Ang dalawa sa mga inaresto ay nagsabing sila ay nasa edad 24 at 25, ngunit sa katunayan ay kapwa 22-anyos habang ang isa ay nagsabi na siya ay 24-anyos, ngunit 20.
"These underaged women are prone to abuse and exploitation in foreign lands, and are being victimized by syndicates exploiting them. To those seeking greener pastures abroad, do not fall for this scheme," babala ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente.
