Inaresto ng National Bureau of Investigation nitong Lunes sa Muntinlupa City si Kenneth Dong, na matatandaang kinasuhan sa pagkakasangkot sa pagpupuslit ng P6.4-bilyon shabu noong 2017.
Kinumpirma ni Department of Justice (DoJ) Spokesperson Undersecretary Mark Perete ang pagkakadakip kay Dong, na nahaharap sa drug charges sa Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 46.
“Dong Yi Shen, aka Kenneth Dong, alleged mediator/facilitator of the P6.4 billion shabu shipment raided by NBI AOTCD (Anti-Organized Transnational Crime Division) and BoC (Bureau of Customs) in Valenzuela in May 2017, was arrested by NBI AOTCD Operatives at 2 pm in Lot 87, Block 12, Phase 2, Katarungan Village, Muntinlupa City,” saad sa pahayag ni Perete sa media.
“The arrest was effected by virtue of the alias Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Judge Rainelda H. Estacio-Montesa of Regional Trial Court BR 46 of Manila for Violation of section 4 in relation to Section 26 (a) of RA 9165 (Importation of Dangerous Drugs),” dagdag niya.
Enero 24, 2018 nang isampa ng DoJ ang nasabing kaso laban kay Dong sa Manila RTC.
Bukod kay Dong, akusado rin sa kaparehong kaso ang umano’y customs fixer na si Mark Ruben Taguba II; sina Chen Julong, alyas “Richard Tan” o “Richard Chen”; Li Guang Feng, alyas “Manny Li”; Eirene Mae Tatad; Teejay Marcellana; Chen I-Min; Jhu Ming Jhun; at Chen Rong Huan.
