Mismong ang pinuno ng Philippine Information Agency (PIA) ay hindi natuwa sa kontrobersiyal na federalism video na ipinost ni Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

Bagamat pinili ng ilang opisyal ng Malacañang na ipaubaya ang isyu sa PCOO, ginamit ni PIA Director-General Harold Clavite ang kanyang Facebook page upang ipahayag ang kanyang pagtutol sa kontrobersiyal na video ni Uson.

Sa kanyang Facebook post nitong Martes, sinabi ni Clavite na kinakailangang magbigay ng public apology si Uson para sa naging post nito at ang panawagan na mag-leave upang pag-isipan ang kanyang mga ginawang aksiyon.

“On the heels of PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson’s latest blunder on the Administration’s campaign to push for federalism, a public apology from the PCOO official is paramount. Along this line is a call for her to take a leave of absence to reflect on these matters,” pahayag ni Clavite.

“This is not only a seeming insult to our profession in communication and public information but also degrading to the women and mothers in our communities,” dagdag pa niya.

“I respectfully urge Ms. Mocha Uson to take a leave of absence to think and reconfigure all her strategies putting into consideration the code of conduct and ethical standards that all public officials should adhere to,” pagpapatuloy ni Clavite.

Ayon kay Clavite, pinili niyang magsalita hinggil sa isyu upang bigyan ng pagpapahalaga ang malawakang aktibidad na ibinibigay ng PIA kabilang ang pagsasagawa ng mga pagsasanay, seminar at workshop.

“My stand on this issue defends the integrity and intelligence of all government information officers, volunteers, and partners— many of whom women and mothers— across the nation, who are continuously working very hard to positively influence the Filipino public to make them responsible sharers of information and be able to contribute to the significant change the public information infrastructure of this country so badly requires,” aniya.

Napahayag din ng sama ng loob ang PIA chief sa mga naging aksiyon ni Mocha na aniya’y, isang insulto sa kanyang tapat na trabaho para matulungan ang pamahalaan at bansa, gayundin ang pagsira nito sa moralidad na maingat na binuo sa ilalim ng kanyang pamamahala sa ahensya sa loob ng dalawang taon.

Inulan ng batikos si Uson matapos nitong ilabas at mag-viral ang “pepedederalismo” video kasama ang pro-Duterte social media personality na si Drew Olivar.
