“Please liberate our teachers from clerical tasks and burden of lesson preparation,” apela ng grupo.
Binanggit ng ACT Philippines ang ilang dahilan “why teachers are overworked.” Dahil sa kakulangan ng education support staff at pagbura sa libu-libong non-teaching items, “our teachers are forced to wear a variety of hats in school—registrar, clerk, librarian, nurse, guidance coordinator, custodian, security guard, and janitor.”
“With two recent suicide cases attributed to extremely tiring workloads, the DepEd must, once and for all, review its policies on teachers’ working condition,” anang TDC .
“Most importantly, teachers should be justly compensated for their work’s worth,” diin ng ACT.
