KONTROBERSIYAL na tabla ang kinalabasan ng pinakahihintay na sagupaan nina multi-division world champion Gennady Golovkin ng Kazakhstan at Canelo Alvarez ng Mexico nitong Sabado (Linggo sa Manila) Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nanlumo ang 22,358 boxing fans na nanood sa aktuwal na laban sa T-Mobile Arena nang umiskor si Judge Adalaide Byrd ng 118-110 para kay Alvarez pero pinili ni Judge Dave Moretti ang HBO Pay-Per-View main event na 115-113 para kay Golovkin at si Judge Don Trella ng patas na 114-114 kaya split draw ang resulta ng sagupaan.

“The inconclusive ending aside, both boxers landed their fair share of power shots and displayed the iron chins for which they have become known throughout their careers in a fight full of action,” ayon sa ulat ng Boxingscene.com. “Alvarez told HBO’s Max Kellerman in the ring that he thinks he won.Golovkin wasn’t as definitive during his interview with Kellerman, but their fight unfolded as close as Moretti and Trella had it on their scorecards.”
